QMS Secures Resin Bonded Surfacing Contract for Duchy of Cornwall
We have recently secured a large Decorative Resin Bonded Surfacing contract for the Duchy of Cornwall at Poundbury.
Poundbury is the urban extension to Dorchester in Dorset, and is famous internationally as a pioneering example of urban development. It seeks to implement the principles expounded in The Prince of Wales’s 1989 book, ‘A Vision of Britain’.
The surfacing is expected to take approximately one week and cover a total area of over 1300m2, utilising the latest resin technology and incorporating a 2mm to 5mm Cornflint Aggregate to sensitively complement the existing surfacing and architectural surroundings.
Resin bonded surfacing is an extremely durable and hardwearing surface giving the look of beautiful clean loose aggregate without the usual extensive maintenance problems associated with having to constantly sweep and top up the loose chippings.
