As the London Marathon approaches in a little under 5 weeks, on Sunday 13th April, our Operations Director Greg Clark is eager to replace the hills of his training route around Totnes for the flat level streets of London. Greg said 'despite the weather, mud and hills of Totnes the training has been going very well and I really can't wait for this experience of a lifetime, that will hopefully raise some crucial funds for this well deserving charity'.
Greg is running 'The London' in aid of The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity. This hard working charity has given over £11 million to 12,000 individuals or families of those within the Construction Industry who are unable to work through Accident, Illness or Injury.
Through the huge generosity of family, friends, colleagues and companies, we are £1,800 in (but still some way off) our target of £5,000 - so If you can, please give generously. A special big thank you to E & J W Glendinning Limited and EM Highway Services Limited who have both pledged £250 to have their logo appear on Greg's running shirt. Space is still available but time is running out, if you would like to have your company logo proudly appear on Greg's shirt, please let us know before this Friday 14th of March as we need to send the shirt off for design and print.
Update: A massive big thank you to Ultim8 Construction and Steve Hoskin Construction who have donated £250 each to become Greg's shirt sponsors.
