The QMS Fairway To Devon Cup 2015
Thursday 2nd July 2015 saw a motley collection of golfing pro's from across the Highways and Civils industries come together at Woodbury Park Golf & Country Club for the QMS Fairway to Devon Cup 2015!
Raising money for The Lighthouse Club Construction Industry Charity, 8 teams of 4 teed off on the 1st in good spirits and inclement weather to kick start the competition.
Approaching the halfway hut, a deluge of biblical proportions halted play for an hour but, after wringing out their trousers and enjoying a pasty and a pint, the sun came out and play resumed, bringing the players to a sunny and show stopping finish on the 18th in full view of the club house.
The round was followed with a show from trick shot extraordinaire, Paul Barrington, before the dinner and prize giving which saw Jake Figg of Steve Hoskin Construction take 1st place in the individual competition and to Harbron Recruit whose on the course prowess secured them 1st place in the team competition!
Congratulations to all of our other prize winners and a big thank you to all of our teams, sponsors and supporters for making the Fairway to Devon Cup 2015 such a roaring (if wet) success. With your generous support and donations we managed to raise £2000 for The Lighthouse Club, an organisation that has been working tirelessly across the Construction industry since 1956 to provide financial assistance and support to the construction community during times of hardship and stress.
The Fairway to Devon Cup 2016 will be held at Dartmouth Golf and Country Club next summer with the date to be released over the coming months. To register your interest for the 2016 event, please get in touch with [email protected].
