Are you tired of boring tarmac and concrete, tired of being told there is no colour or aggregate options? Are you fed up of constantly having to sweep up loose chippings and having to 'Top Up' every year? Then one of our Decorative Resin products could be the answer.

Resin bonded and bound are available in a very wide range of stunning natural and recycled aggregates with a broad range of colour and aggregate size. Being extremely durable and low maintenance you can expect years of trouble free service and be left with a surface that will transform the look of any building, being a stately house, office, school or your very own home.

Resin Bonded Gravel

Installed to an existing (or new) asphalt or concrete surface to aesthetically improve the appearance and provide a hard wearing surface. Similar to Anti-Skid surfacing it is a thin veneer type surfacing, installed at around 5mm thickness, the need to raise drain covers and other ironwork is eliminated. Using a multitude of aggregate sizes and colours we are able to provide a surface treatment to suit any surroundings. The broadcasted aggregate adheres to the resin providing a coarse textured finish giving the appearance of loose gravel.

Resin Bound Gravel

Installed to an existing (or new) asphalt or concrete surface between 12 and 20mm thickness (depending on location), it is similar in application to mortar screeds or macadam surface courses. The chosen aggregate is mixed with the specially formulated clear resin to provide a surface that is extremely durable with a smooth finish. The clear resin technology allows the beauty of the aggregate to show through and can be provided in a variety of stunning aggregate types and colours. The finished surface has the added advantage of being porous, therefore allowing rain and surface water to penetrate and drain naturally without puddle formation. Being Permeable it is SUD (Sustainable Urban Drainage) compliant (a new Government directive and a requirement in some Planning Authorities), which means any driveway with this system will not require Planning Permission*.

Wet Pour Safety Surfacing

Installed on top of hardcore or existing bitmac in a variety of Organic Pigment colours using rubber granules and resin mixed together to provide a permeable safety surface, perfect for play areas whether they are in schools, parks or back gardens. The surface is an ideal way to make hard surfaces safer, giving a cushioned surface for general play, bikes and ball games.

Resin Bound Rubber Bark

Installation is similar to Wet Pour Safety Surfacing but laid with a minimum thickness of 50mm and utilising a shredded Rubber Bark/Mulch. It is an ideal alternative to play giving the same natural look and feel, with the added advantage the material does not move or blow around. This system is also available in a range of Organic Pigment Colours. Used very successfully for landscaping effect and as a replacement for loose bark in tree-pits.

Available throughout the South West

FAQs

What is Decorative Surfacing?

Decorative Surfacing is our terminology that covers surfacing applications that involve the use of clear resin technology and the use of recycled and natural aggregates to produce a stunning surface for roads, driveways and pedestrian areas.

What's the difference between Resin Bonded and Resin Bound Surfacing?

Resin Bonded Surfacing is a thin veneer surfacing system consisting of resin which is squeegeed to the tarmac or concrete surface and a suitable decorative aggregate hand scatter applied to the resin. Resulting in a highly textured exposed aggregate surface which is ideally suited to existing surfaces. Resin Bound Surfacing uses clear resin technology combined with beautiful natural or recycled aggregates. Similar in thickness to tarmac ranging from 12mm thick for light duty footpaths up to 25mm thick for roadways. The resin and aggregate are mixed together before application by hand trowelling to give a porous smooth texture similar to tarmac. Resin Bound is ideally suited to new surfaces where its porous attributes can be used to full advantage.

I've heard that resin bound systems do not need planning permission on new driveways, is this correct?

You should always check with your local planning office before any new work is to be carried out. Some Planning Authorities are making a SUD compliant system a requirement. The Government tasked the Environment Agency to reduce the amount of surface water run-off and as result they introduced Sustainable Urban Drainage System. All of our resin bound systems are Sustainable Urban Drainage (SUD) compliant and as such are permeable and allow surface water to egress back through to the natural water table.

Are you Quality and Environmentally Assured?

We are accredited to Quality Standard ISO 9001, Environmental Standard ISO 14001 and Health & Safety Standard OHSAS 18001.

Can you surface during winter?

Due to the nature of the materials involved we do not lay between the end of September and the beginning of May.

How soon after the area has been surfaced can we use it?

Cure times can vary and some areas may be fully cured the next working day, although we recommend 24hrs before an area is trafficked.

How do we keep the resin surfacing system clean?

We recommend an annual clean using a pressure washer and a mild detergent.

What Geographical Area do You Cover?
