QMS in an approved installer of Quaker RapidShield™. Designed specifically for internal use, it is cured instantly using Ultra Violet light and is highly durable with up to a 5 year guarantee. 

The system uses a scientifically engineered paint and clear coat, cures instantly when exposed to a high intensity UV lamp. As soon as the paint is applied to the surface, UV equipment is used to not just dry, but FULLY CURE the system making it available to be used instantly. What used to take days to do, including preparation, multiple applications of coats and associated curing times (for each coat), now can only take a few hours.

The beauty of the system means that we can programme areas of work to be completed and handed back to the client DURING that shift. Reducing the amount of time an area is out of use can drastically reduce the impact on the client's business, whilst giving huge potential cost savings.

What is RapidShield?

RapidShield™ is an instant UV cure internal floor paint system. It offers many advantages over traditional floor paint and marking systems.

You say instant, is there any cure time at all before I can use the painted surface?

When we say instant we mean instant, as soon as the UV curing light passes over the wet paint it is not just dry but FULLY cured and can be instantly trafficked over. This means we can phase the working environment to suit your needs, whilst minimising the amount an area is out of use from days, to literally a few hours.

How Durable is RapidShield?

Extremely, the full RapidShield™ system comes with a 5 year warranty and our cheaper Hybrid system which utilises a traditional Waterborne Acrylic Resin paint with a RapidShield™ clear coat comes with a 2 year warranty.

Is RapidShield suitable for food store areas?

RapidShield™ has no odour and no VOCs and is recommend for use in internal food store areas.

We have a highly sensitive area and cannot have any dust from preparation works, can you help?

Yes, we have brand new state of the art recovered shot-blast surface preparation system that is completely enclosed and will remove all dust from the work area.

Is it a legal requirement to have safety walkway markings in our warehouse?

By law, every workplace must be organised so that pedestrians and vehicles can circulate safely. Safety walkway markings can be the best and most economical way of meeting your legal requirements.

Do you have NVQ / CSCS qualified operatives?

Every employee of QMS has either achieved or is working towards an NVQ level 2 or higher and is in possession of a valid CSCS card. All new operatives to the company are trained and assessed to the same standards.

What level of Public and Employers Liability Insurance do you have?

£10 million public and £10 million employers. Copies of our certificates can be obtained from our offices.
